New financial resources shall be available shortly. . .

So said my fortune cookie, and lo and behold just when I thought I was done in someone decided to be nice, then I found money that has been waiting for me for ten years. So at the end of the day the fortune cookie was right.
WEIRD.
This new life I'm living is pretty damn crazy. Exciting. Bizarre.

Yesterday I watched the Laker Game with a ton of new friends. All girls. No of us "normal". It was awesome. We were so loud that the frat boys next door told us to be quiet.

I imagine that a lot of other resources will be available for me shortly. Long live the living!

Wait, that was EASY?! or The Hug.

Last night I had a conversation that changed things for me. It was a simple conversation,no more than ten minutes. I approached the conversation in a new light, with open ears and it was easy. I listened, really listened, and I was understood. No muss, no fuss, no drama. I am, as you know, in a new phase of my life and I can't believe how much things have changed so quickly. I feel as if the world is the same, my life is the same, there is still no money, I am still up at 10:30pm writing and watching TV alone, but I don't care! I mean I care, but not to the point of crying or being upset. I just am.
That's what happened last night. He talked and I was. I didn't think I was being attacked or blamed. I realized that sometimes people just need to say things and I just need to listen. We talked. We don't know what it is, but we know what it's not. It's not yelling, screaming, changing, bending. It just is. I'm learning that you just have to let people be. Let them fall, do things you wouldn't do, say things you wouldn't say. You don't have to like it and you can walk away anytime. So why "change" them? Just let people be. And that was rewarded with a hug.

Happy Birthday Daddy!

That's it. I love you and you are the best Daddy ever. Even if Liam Neeson's character in Taken kidnapped me, I know you'd get me back.

And we're back. . . .

Through circumstances beyond my control I have found myself back in the world of acting. It is all so ironic. Really ironic, not the Alanis Morisette ironic . Tomorrow I am meeting with the TV people and will possibly be playing a role based on,well, me. Pretty weird. Pretty LA. Pretty awesome. As the Bird said- The universe got me (actually, he said the universe "gotchu", but I can't say that). Word.
In other news, I went to a graduation today (my second one this year! Have another one next week) and watched a little lady I have known since she was just a kick on her mommy's belly walk across the stage at the Hollywood Bowl and into her new life. It was cool. As always, I was swept up in the memories, laughs, and tears of my past. I was very proud to stand up and sing about "the glory of the blue and white." Mostly, I was happy and thankful to be standing next to the same girl I stood next to when we were on that stage many moons ago. Things have changed but we're still around. So thanks Captain Chaos, I did indeed choose awesomeness.

TAKEN

The Kid and I are watching Taken with Liam Neeson and both came to the same conclusion: DADS ROCK. And that my Daddy should have played this role. Thankfully I didn't get kidnapped in Paris.

Save the TV, save the world!

I tried to save a TV from falling at school day and instead sprained my hand. All I could think was: with budget cuts and teachers getting fired, no way can we afford another TV. Oh Well. Now I must type with one hand.
