I got yelled at by a veteran teacher for "being too progressive"

    have the student newspaper do an article about language usage, words, words, words...*sigh* i can see a bulletin board with words and definitions outside your classroom ;~D

    Calling someone "progressive" as an insult is the equivalent of calling someone "smart" as an insult: it reveals far more about the name caller than they probably intended.
